Abstract

Success in times of significant organizational change hinges on conscious leadership in designing and managing the overall process of change. By paying attention to our human propensity to initially resist change, leaders can increase the probability of success by laying out a comprehensive change plan, painting a compelling vision of the future, and providing employees with a common language and model to understand the process of change.  In this interactive session, EMS leaders will learn about the typical phases of change, gain clarity on the components of a comprehensive change management plan and come away with personal and leadership strategies for effectively navigating what can be choppy water.
